Representative West is looking forward to what the Illinois Family Rescue Plan will bring to the Rockford region in 2022. For critics, who say this is being done because it’s an election year, he shares that they are doing this because there is over $1B surplus - they are doing this because are fiscal health is getting stronger. Representative West states that his pledge is that he will work to ensure that relief is giving to families even after election year by tackling the hard issues of pension reform, property tax relief, and helping people so that they do not have to decide if they have heat, or if they eat. This is what Illinois needs.
