Representative West was so honored and excited to have Tommy Meeks in Springfield for the bill signing of the Juneteenth State holiday legislation. Juneteenth is not a Black holiday, it is an American holiday and today the Governor and Speaker @repchriswelch got the opportunity to meet the man who’s been working on this in Illinois for 31 years in the Rockford community.
