ROCKFORD, Ill. – State Representative Maurice West, founder of Share the Warmth-Rockford, will hold the 9th annual Share the Warmth drive from Monday December 5th – Friday December 16th. “This winter, there are many people in our community that will struggle with a lack of consistent housing and warm clothing” said West. “This is why I founded Share the Warmth-Rockford in November 2014 and we've successfully donated thousands of articles of warm clothing to theshelters in Rockford!”
This year Share the Warmth-Rockford will be partnering with Northwest Community Center, Katie’s Cup, and the Community Life Center of Rockford to collect warm articles of clothing for our community. Suggested donations include blankets, hats, coats, scarves, gloves, socks, pajamas and other warm articles of clothing.
